jp256@yahoo.com BioI am a Ph.D. student in linguistics at the University of California Santa Cruz. I have friends all over the country---Chicago and Ann Arbor especially. This lj is a way for me to keep in contact with my friends, continue the normal chit-chat and whining that I usually do when I see my friends IRL. My lj also is a chance for me to keep a log of my life---because other people read and comment on it, I feel more inclined to write stuff. Some of what I write is less interesting or insightful, so hopefully people just sorta glaze over it and say "boy, that's Jeremy for you".
